My baby boy is now a toddler who has a mind of his own! Darn, I was kind of hoping he would never reazlie that one. The other day he was jumping on my lap and it reminded me how he used to do that before he could stand up. He is no longer a baby- he is a little BOY.

And a boy who can speak too! He uses one word to speak an entire sentence. How efficient!

"beep beep!" when he sees a truck or a school bus
"ba" = when he sees a broom, ball, bird, or to show you his (or your) belly-button
"da" = door, meaning "I want to go outside that DOOR this minute!"
"ma" = Milk (heard first thing in the morning), but also used for Monkey, as in I would very much like it if you could pretty please hand me my stuffed Monkey that I sleeps with
"da da" = Daddy of course, but also used to say doggy, as in "Look Mom, look at that dog!"
"ma ma" = his one & only Momma.

He is familiar with a few Spanish words but hasn't used them yet. He knows that "Leche" is his milk, and if you ask him where your "Pelo" is he will touch your hair. Saying "lengua" will prompt him to stick his tongue out at you!

Singing Head, Shoulders Knees & Toes is a favorite song, and he can point to most of his body parts when asked. He likes to play a game where he lifts up your shirt so he can point and show you where your belly button is, just in case you were wondering! How helpful!

Robbie is becoming our little man. He loves: the baby pool, slides at the park, sandboxes, swinging, getting chased thru the house, climbing on tall things (he will push your hand away if you try and help him), bigger kids, the garbage truck, walking to the mailbox and back to the house, and giving kisses ("besos").
He dislikes: his momma leaving the house. He wants to be outside all day long- he will bring us our shoes and point to the door and insist! He likes to study people and imitate- he loves to sweep- he will go into the closet, yell "boom!" and drag the broom all thru the house. He is full of tricks these days.

"I'm the man! I've got my own pool."

Decided to go for a cold walk-- I bundled him up so tight under 2 blankets and worried the entire time that he was freezing--- when I got back to the house and took everything off his skin was so sweaty! Just like his daddy. Look how miserable he is-- "Mom, get me out of this."

Robbie's First Thanksgiving

Robbie did a ton of growing this month. He learned to scoot backwards on his belly (just a little!), zips around Grandma's kitchen in his walker like hes the man of the house, and babbles "da, da, da" a lot (of course, no ma ma). He actually weighs so much now that I think my right arm has carpel tunnel syndrome! Not ok. He saw lots of friends and family over the holiday and had himself a little baby blast. He was so good all day long on Thanksgiving and ate with the fam in his little chair. He gobbled up some sweet potatoes like nobodys business!

Playtime! Robbies getting better at sitting up on his own. He loves cups, or anything thats bright colored and easy to bang around. The more noise the better!

We give him baths downstairs in the sink now that its cold... hes always grabbing for the sponges, the soap, etc and trying to put the washcloth in his mouth. Hes really somthing.

This was so funny, he actually fell asleep WHILE eating- twice! Poor little guy.

Mamita's Visit

Robbie's Grandma came down from NY to visit him for 4 days last week, they spent some good QT together. She brought him lots of little goodies and new winter clothes. We went shopping and he got his first pair of real blue jeans-- so cute, with fleece on the inside! She also did a lot of babysitting so Jose and I could go out... sorta like the good ole' days. :)

We took Robbie to a Duke scrimmage this weekend. He burst into tears because we were sitting right behind the band! Poor guy. It took a few minutes for him to get used to it all, especially bc that stadium is so small and loud, it was a little overwhelming I think.

Here are some fun pictures of this past month! Every morning brings something new with little Robbie. He still likes sucking all his different fingers, but he is becoming partial to his thumb. :) We put a big blanket in the living room floor and he spends most his day rolling around there. He is a happy, sqirmy little man. He loves watching football, standing on our laps, taking baths, babbeling up a storm, being tickled and flirting with new people he meets. Oh! and he has became a good sleeper this month, praise Jesus! From 8pm-8am, waking up only at 5 to eat and go back to sleep. This is a big relief, because now Jose and I have the evening to ourselves again, or we can take him out with us. yay!
